I was also given the opportunity to do some maintenance while performing the install of the relay switch. Besides the buttons on the VFD show signs of wear and tear from nearly 5 years of operations. I now do not have to remember to manually turn on or off Spindle at tool changes and at the end of the last toolpath run. I will probably adjust and optimize all my feed rates and spindle speeds so that I can leave the Spindle Speed (RPM's) at one setting.īy doing this install I have eliminated a safety hazard too for I am hard of hearing for one and secondly I do at times wear ear plugs (especially on long cnc carvings with vacuum running). Now I set the spindle rotation speed before any CNC operations at the VFD Inverter. Got mine wired up Saturday (Yesterday) with a bit of help from a fellow forum member and Vectric Support for the Editing of a New Post Processor that creates a delay time to stop/hesitate the CNC to allow Spindle ramp up speed to be established before carving begins.
